Abstract:

Many archaeological finds were made around Malmö in connection with the construction of the Øresund bridge One Early Neolithic site produced some unusual tools. These included a large number of small flint drills. The intention of these experiments is to help clarify how the drills were produced and what they were used for. The reconstructed drills will be used to work various materials (including wood and bone) and the wear on the reconstructed drills will then be compared with that on the original finds. The question is - what happened here almost 6000 years ago?
