Even the children with the most curious fingers are welcome in the new exhibition “Skins and Skeletons” where you’re allowed to touch and tamper with everything. You’ll find furs, hides, bones, and skulls as well as stuffed animals from the prehistoric animal world in Denmark.
Let your curious fingers run over beaver hides, skulls from the aurochs, wild boar, squirrel, hedgehog, marten, and birds that have existed in nature in Denmark since the Stone Age. Here you’re allowed to touch the animals and experience cute and cuddly dead animals – as well as some prickly ones.
You can also test your own knowledge in the quiz “Guess an animal”, where the entire family can join in the fun in guessing what animal the hides and bones come from. The animals on display are primarily within children’s reach and the exhibition is therefore very well suited for the youngest of our guests – the 1- to 5-year-old children – but the whole family can join in.
